Leading manufacturer of automotive systems seeks a Program Manager to help staff an expanding company!  Be a part of a team that helps create parts found in tens of thousands of heavy-duty trucks and buses currently on the road around the world.

The primary responsibilities of the Program Manager are to define, track, and manage all program risks, costs, schedules & deliverables. Programs vary from multi-year stage-gate programs with complex workstream structures to rapid product development or simple scope projects. As such the ability to flex and choose the right tools for the job is critical to success.

Working in a highly dynamic environment, candidate must be capable and willing to engage at any level the program requires.  Must be an entrepreneurial-minded person that thrives in a growth environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Act as a single point of contact with program teams, business functions, business leadership, and customers to ensure customer satisfaction and business success. 
  • Complete programs on time, within budget, and to contractual, commercial, technical, and quality requirements. 
  • Identify program scope and maintain an integrated program schedule that demonstrates the work breakdown structure and key milestones necessary to complete the program. 
  • Ensure compliance to deliverables within company procedures, including design reviews and other related procedures or work instructions. 
  • Identify and mitigate program risks, coordinate the resolution of issues between business functions for overall program process, and ensure communication and escalation as appropriate to the management team. 
  • Communicate status of deliverables to Senior Program Managers on a regular basis. 
  • Effectively manage all stakeholder requirements to satisfaction. 
  • Effectively define executable strategies within program, business, and market constraints. 
Education, Experience, Skills, and Requirements:
  • BS in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing projects and programs that vary in complexity.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed. 
  • Proficient in program planning, organizing, team motivation, and delegation. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project & Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail paired with strategic planning capabilities. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Experience working in a highly independent and matrix environment, coordinating across multiple sites, functions, and time zones. 
  • Ability to align culture and business practices between different international entities. 
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of Advanced Product Quality Planning & stage-gate product launch. 
  • Ability to handle multiple jobs and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment with fluctuating priorities.

Some travel is required for this position and can vary depending on program needs -- valid passport with ability to travel internationally.
