Territory Sales Manager - Northeast and Southeast
Well established and growing Overhead Crane Manufacturing and service company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to help expand sales into the Northeastern and Southeastern US.  The Sales Manager will manage New Overhead Crane Equipment Sales activity up and down the East Coast. This is a New Business Development position that emphasizes on selling overhead crane systems and equipment to new customers and Engineering companies in industries such as steel mills, steel distribution, Aluminum mills, Foundry’s, Waste to Energy/biomass plants, paper mills, automotive plants, power generation, general manufacturing, mining, petrochemicals, etc.

Job Requirements:
  • Identifying new overhead crane customers and selling overhead crane systems and equipment.
  • Introduce manufacturer’s products to leading companies in the region.
  • Solicits inquiries for new crane projects and do appropriate spec take-off with working knowledge of all company’s products.
  • Proficient use of CRM tool for sales case management
  • Effective lead follow-up and new lead development
  • Cost estimating and preparation of proposals.
  • Submit accurate and routine sales reports
  • Presentation skills to successfully explain offering/quotations to customers and follow up with additional information as required to complete the sale.
  • Handles negotiations re: additions, changes and amendment to a customer request.
  • Position can be located anywhere in the Northeast or Southeast US with travel throughout the Eastern US required - Road Warrior - 50%+ overnight travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in overhead crane sales.
  • Proven record of building new business and increasing sales.
  • Knowledgeable in sales and estimating with a thorough understanding of reading drawings.
  • Highly developed communication, sales organization, and estimating skills.
